Rockstar LUKAS ROSSI was in the house on Thursday night – you may remember him from the wildly popular ROCKSTAR:SUPERNOVA phenomenon a few years back – and I had the cool ‘trip’ of cooking, hanging, and smokin’ darts with Lukas and his handler for a couple of hours...funny, the song really does remain the same – no matter who you are, where you’ve been and what you’ve seen. We hit it off like old pals, and he spent some time getting to know our guests around the Supperclub room.

Believe in what you’re doing, even if people say you suck and tell you that you’re never going to be anything. Every day is a new day and the greatest thing about being a human being is that we’re all individuals and we do things individually that are totally different from the guy next to you. And you being special in your own way in this world is something that no one else can duplicate.

Lukas is interviewed by Rogers TV at Norma Jeans in London Ontario.

To Rossi the “je ne sais quoi” of someone able to get onstage and command attention is something inherent to the individual. Forced to define “rock star,” he says it’s someone who affects people with their music, writes honest songs, and reaches deep within to express something true to them and their fans. All of which Rossi is attempting to do with his new project, Stars Down.

Music is full of ups and downs, it's a yo-yo, and when they chose me to be in that band I thought, "This is it." That wasn't the case, but it was an amazing time in my life, we had a great time and went around the world.

Rossi brought it home with a very rangy voice that was absolutely soothing one moment and curdling the next. But it is a beautiful instrument and he plays it with obvious talent. And he leaves every bit of himself on stage. His music is worn on his sleeve and taps into his emotions like a spigot into a keg of Labatt's Blue.

Lukas Rossi, probably best known for many, for winning season two of CBS's reality show Rock Star:Supernova, has, after a rewarding experience with them, decided to head out and form his own band Stars Down, an amazing band based in L.A. which blew me away from the get-go. Their debut album, "Mood Swings", is brilliant, (and soon will be reviewed here so keep a lookout for it), and any fan of Lukas' style, charisma and his killer pipes will not be disappointed. Wednesday night is not the best night of the week to play a club gig. This didn’t hamper Stars Down’s Canadian debut at Lee’s Palace (Toronto). The house was packed with a crazy, loud crowd that loved every minute of the show!
